About Alun Richardson

A retired IFMGA mountain Guide and now a professional photographer whose images have featured in fine art exhibitions, magazine front covers, articles, websites and advertising campaigns for international companies. He was the 'official photographer' to the Royal Gurkha Everest Expedition in 2017. Other commissions include 'Trek and Mountain' and 'Outdoor Fitness' magazines, 'Invesco Perpetual', Malta Tourist Board, Jagged Globe and Mountaineering Ireland to name a few.

He is a writer/technical editor for 'Trek and Mountain' magazine. He leads a photography project for Hafal (Adveraid) helping people recovering from serious mental illness sponsored by Carmarthen Camera Exchange. Currently he is working on two Photography books - 'The Khumbu' and 'Being Adventurous'.
