Music
There will be live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
McKenna
Ryan and Joel McKenna are brothers who have performed together for over 25 years. They have built a career on recording and touring in Canada and the USA, firstly as a duo and most recently as the frontmen of the commanding folk-rock act, the Steel City Rovers. Their easy nature and good humour onstage comes from the seasoned life of having spent years on the road as full-time performers. These engaging fellows weave a tapestry of love, loss, wit and wistfulness as they share familiar and beloved songs from a variety of genres and eras alongside fan-favourites from their own extensive catalogue. They have too rarely crossed the Atlantic and are thrilled to be making their UK debut at Base Camp Festival.
Toast
Since the dawn of time (or at least since 1990), 'Toast' has been rockin' the Argyll music scene with their eclectic mix of crowd-pleasing covers. With a setlist that spans seven decades, they're like a musical time machine, covering everything from rock and pop to punk and party tunes, guided by the motto ‘all bangers – no clangers’. Toast started life as a five piece and cut their teeth playing to the US Navy servicemen from the nearby Holy Loch base, whilst being the go-to function band in the area for many years after. They are now more likely to be found in your favourite local live music venues, entertaining the crowds with their musical shenanigans, playing all manner of nonsense. The four piece now consists of Kevin Campbell (guitar, lead vocal), Paul Walker (bass, backing vocal) David Goslan (guitar, backing vocal) and David Geddes (drums, backing vocal).
More live acts to be announced soon...
